The Vero Beach area was hit with a storm Sunday evening into Monday morning, including 2-3 inches of rain. Coach Herold got the call on the way to breakfast Monday morning that all baseball activities at Dodgertown had been canceled. They are, however, trying to make other arrangements for us to get some baseball in near Orlando. We're still waiting for the final go-ahead, but we have Dean Schoeberl and the transportation committee on stand-by.
The team did, however, get to take some batting practice Sunday evening at the indoor hitting facility. They're working hard but looking forward to getting on the diamond for some game simulations.
In case you were wondering, coaches did conduct a bedcheck on Sunday night and all the beds are accounted for.
